Our cost is based on an hourly rate at a fraction of the cost of an attorney. The length of mediation depends on the complexity of your situation. Dominant factors include property and financial division, spousal and child support and of course the most important: your willingness to come to an agreement.
Then nothing is resolved. You can stop the mediation process at any time and either work it out together, hire an attorney or file a lawsuit on your own. However, we will work diligently with you to ensure an agreement is reached.

You can return to mediation to renegotiate your agreement, or hire an attorney to lead you through this process. In either case, an amendment must be filed with the court.
Yes. We encourage you to have your agreement reviewed by an attorney if you feel the need to do so as we are not attorneys and can not represent either party.
Under normal circumstances, both parties will participate in all sessions. However, if either party feels the need for an individual meeting, this will be respected. The mediator can also request individual meetings if this will facilitate forward movement.
Sessions will be conducted in our office, and we will do our best to accommodate your schedules, including evenings and weekends. How often is up to you. However, we encourage regular meetings, with no more than two weeks between sessions to encourage forward movement.

The goal of mediation is to avoid a lengthy and costly divorce process, and
reach mutual agreement without the need for a trial. However, at least one party must appear in court for the final hearing where the court adopts the settlement agreement.
